On an overcast October day, Lindsey and I went to Runaround Pond in Durham to check out the fall foliage. I knew from past years that Runaround Pond could have a good variety of colors. We had fun walking around the area near the boat launch and picnic table taking photos. It was Lindsey’s idea to go for a walk along a trail through the woods, which led us across the road to an area below the dam. There were a lot of beautiful colors there too. We went back the next day when it was bright and sunny, but I found that I preferred the flatter overcast lighting of these photos. I used my Lumix GF1, which gave the photos a bit of a vintage digital look.
