Rachel, Eliza, and I drove to Harpswell on an unseasonably warm February day. First, we went to Stover’s Point Preserve, which is a large rocky beach with some marshy areas too. It was fun to walk around and check out all the rocks, shells, and sea glass there. Eliza enjoyed wading in the water with her boots. Later, we drove across the Cribstone Bridge to Bailey’s Island, and went to Cedar Beach. After parking along a quiet road, there is a quarter mile walk along a dirt road and trail to get to the beach. Cedar Beach had a nice expansive ocean view, and a nice view of the bridge as well. The light colored sand was also very fine, and was mixed with a variety of rocks and shells.
