I went down to Portland to take a few photos of the railroad swing bridge that crosses the inlet to Back Cove. It had been recently announced that the southern portion of the bridge would be demolished, since it was in disrepair from a 1984 arson fire, and was hazardous to boats in the area. The bridge originally carried trains for the Grand Trunk Railroad, but it has been unused and left in the open position since the fire.
