Three Unique Walks in Freeport

Rachel and I went for a walk out to Pettengill Farm in Freeport. The saltbox house on the farm dates back to the early 1800s. There are a series of trails on the property which lead down to the marshy banks of the Harraseeket River. We also went for a walk at the Mast Landing Sanctuary. This quiet property has several trails that make a loop, and there are also the stone remnants of a mill there. Finally, we went for a walk around the trails at Tidebrook, which is a nice preserve with woods, fields, and access to the shoreline.
