Rachel, Eliza, and I went for a hike up Knox Mountain in West Newfield. Along the hike, we could hear occasional distant rumbles of thunder. We made the hike quick, and had a few minutes to enjoy the views at the summit. We made it back to the car, with just a few sprinkles near the end. It started raining more heavily on our way home. We liked the trail, which was fairly wide, with a gentle climb that got a bit steeper near the end. Eliza liked the big rocks on the mountain, which were plentiful along the trail. The summit has glimpses of views in almost every direction, and larger views can be found by exploring the summit area.
