On a sunny afternoon in mid-July, we went for our annual hike up Hawk Mountain in Waterford. It has become one of our favorite family hikes, since it is a relatively short and easy trail which is great for the kids. They enjoyed seeing the wildflowers and interesting trees and rocks along the way, and they enjoyed the view at the top too.
