We were invited to stay at our friend’s cottage in Lovell. The cottage is in a quiet wooded area on the shore of a pond. It was a very peaceful location, disconnected from cell service. Since we were staying in western Maine, we didn’t have to drive too far to meet up with our friend Tom, and do a scenic drive on the Kancamagus Highway in New Hampshire. We stopped at several of the viewpoints along the way. On the final day of our cottage stay, we hiked up Sabattus Mountain, which is also located in Lovell. The trail is steady and a bit steep, but offers a nice panoramic view.
