A Sunny Hike up Knox Mountain

A few years ago, we went for a quick hike up and down Knox Mountain before a thunderstorm came. This year, we got to hike Knox Mountain on a beautiful, sunny, July day, with no storms in the forecast. Eliza and Lindsey both had fun hiking, and they loved the large glacial erratic boulders that we passed along the trail. The summit has some nice views in different directions, and it was very peaceful. For this hike, I brought along my new-to-me Panasonic Lumix GF1, paired with the 12-32mm compact zoom lens. This is my first Micro Four Thirds camera, and I thought it would be great as a camera to carry when I want something small and lightweight that still has good manual controls. It was fun to try this camera out with the different “film” profiles. For this hike, I took black and white photos in Dynamic B&W mode.
