Our Annual Hike to Hawk Mountain

For the third year in a row, Rachel, Eliza, and I hiked to the summit of Hawk Mountain near Waterford. It is a short gradual climb along a wide woods road, with some nice views from an outlook at the top. This was the first year that Eliza hiked most of it up and back herself. I only carried her part of the way each direction. She liked seeing the many Dragonflies that were on the trail, and she liked the lakes and mountains that she could see at the top. I brought my Zeiss Ikon Nettar 120 camera with me and took a few photos at the summit. To finish off the roll of film, I took the camera with me when we drove to Wolfe’s Neck Center on a rainy day to see the cows, and I took one photo at Winslow Park.
