In early July, we went camping at Peaks-Kenny State Park in Dover-Foxcroft. We had visited the park last year for a day trip, but decided to try camping there this summer. We really liked the campsite that we had, and the campground was very peaceful and family friendly. We spent a day at the beach, which is on the shoreline of Sebec Lake, and offers a nice view of Borestone Mountain. We went for a walk in the woods too. On the second day, we drove to Greenville, and spent a day at Lily Bay State Park, which is on the shore of Moosehead Lake, since we had not been there before. We were surprised to see so many deer there, and we were able to get really close to them without them running off.
