In August, we took Eliza and Lindsey to the Topsham Fair for the first time. The state fair is one of the smaller ones, but it was a perfect way to introduce the kids to the fair experience, go on some rides, and have some cotton candy and fair food. After being a little unsure about it, Eliza rode the Ferris Wheel twice. The first time, she rode it with me, and as soon as we got near the top, she realized how cool it was to be up so high, and she loved it. Rachel and I took turns going on some of the other rides with her, and Lindsey got to go on some rides, like the carousel, too. We also enjoyed visiting the farm animals. I figured that with all the fun and bright colors, I had to shoot color. The Lumix GF1 was the perfect small camera to carry around with me, and I love the vivid colors that the camera JPG images delivered.
