We went to Rome and enjoyed a nice hike up Mount Phillip. The Mount Phillip trail makes a loop to several viewpoints of the area. While the views were somewhat limited compared to other hikes we have gone on, the trail itself was very nice, with a lot of interesting trees and rocks. After our hike, we went to Rome Beach, which is tucked into the woods on the shoreline of Great Pond. It was a nice, quiet, scenic spot, and Eliza enjoyed splashing around in the water.
