I recently purchased a Zeiss Ikon Nettar 517/16 folding 120 camera. After doing a little work on it to free up a sticky shutter, I was ready to test it out. Rachel, Eliza, and I went on a scenic drive to Boothbay Harbor, to check out the Boothbay Harbor Footbridge and walk around town. We also went to Hendrick’s Head Light. The Zeiss Ikon Nettar shoots 6×6 square photos, so it was fun and challenging to come up with compositions for that format. I “scanned” the negatives using my Nikon DSLR with a LED light panel and an extension tube for closer focusing. I am pleased with the results I got, and I am looking forward to working with this camera more.
