We met up with a couple of our friends in Hallowell and went for a walk along part of the Kennebec River Rail Trail. The trail runs from Gardiner to Augusta, and passes through Hallowell. We started and finished our walk from Granite City Park, where there is a nice view of the Kennebec River and a number of Adirondack chairs available to enjoy. We walked north towards Augusta, and found a viewpoint in the woods that made a good spot to turn around.
