On a sunny April afternoon, we went for a walk at the Walsh Preserve in Freeport. The preserve has two short trails that lead to the salt marshes along the Cousins River. It would be a great place to go bird watching. We all enjoyed following the trails through the woods which featured many large pine trees. At the end of each trail, there were nice views and access to the marsh and the winding Cousins River.
