We went for a fall foliage drive to Rangeley over the Indigenous People’s Day weekend in October. Our long-time friend from New Hampshire came to visit us for the weekend. He had never been to the Rangeley area before, so we decided to do a day trip to the area to show him the sights. We made a loop that started with a stop at the Height of Land on Route 17. From there, we stopped at several other viewpoints before having lunch in Rangeley. We then drove up to the summit of Quill Hill. On the way home, we stopped at Smalls Falls, and also passed Mount Blue. The fall colors were a bit muted compared to some previous years, and also starting to be a little past peak, but the scenery was still beautiful.
