On the first weekend in October, we made our annual pilgrimage to Vermont to go apple picking at Burtt’s Apple Orchard. We stayed with our friends on Kirby Mountain, and made apple butter, cider, and pie filling with some of the apples that we picked. We also stopped at the scenic A.M. Foster Covered Bridge in Cabot, and I took a few photos at the orchard, and along Kirby Mountain Road. The fall colors were not as vivid as some years, but I enjoyed getting out and taking photos anyway, and I really like some of them. This year, I used my Nikon D7100 with a circular polarizer to help the colors pop, and to cut through haze. I think it worked really well.
